Katherine He
is the founder and president of Shanghai Jiao Tong
University Foundation of America (SJTUFA),
and a member of the SJTUFA Board of Directors.
Katherine graduated from
Shanghai Jiao Tong University
with a BSME degree and received her MSME degree from
Drexel University
in Philadelphia. Since 1996, she has been working for
Edwards Lifesciences,
a world leader in advanced cardiovascular technologies, and
received a number of achievement awards. She is a seasoned
engineering professional with rich experiences in R&D,
quality engineering, and project management. She has enjoyed
the great satisfaction of dedicating her career in the
development of cutting-edge life-saving implantable devices
such as endovascular graft for abdominal aortic aneurysm
repair, percutaneous mitral valve repair, and
transcatheter heart valve replacement,
etc.
Katherine is a senior member of the American Society for
Quality (ASQ),
and served as the section management chair for the ASQ
Orange Empire Section. She is an ASQ certified quality
engineer (CQE), reliability engineer (CRE), and quality
manager (CQM).
Outside of her professional work in the medical device
industry, Katherine is devoted to community service and
philanthropy work. Besides managing SJTUFA, She served as
the president of the Chiao Tung (Jiao Tong) University
Alumni Association of Southern California (CTUAA-SC)
from 2005 to 2007, and has been a board director of the
Chiao Tung University Alumni Association in America (CTUAAA)
since 2005. She also served on the board of the
Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists Association of
Southern California (CESASC)
through the 2009-2010 term.
