Katherine He is the founder and president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Foundation of America (SJTUFA), and a member of the SJTUFA Board of Directors.

Katherine graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) with a BSME degree and received her MSME degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Since 1996, she has been working for Edwards Lifesciences in Irvine, California, a world leader in advanced cardiovascular technologies, and received a number of achievement awards. She is a seasoned engineering professional with rich experiences in R&D, quality engineering, and project management, currently holds a position of Sr. Quality Engineering Manager for the Edwards Advanced Technology Group. She has enjoyed the great satisfaction of dedicating her career in the development of cutting-edge life-saving implantable devices such as Transcatheter Heart Valve Replacement & Repair Systems.

Outside of her professional work in the medical device field, Katherine has been devoted to serve Chiao Tung (Jiao Tong) alma mater and alumni.  Besides founding and managing SJTUFA, she served as the president of Chiao Tung University Alumni Association of Southern California (CTUAA-SC) from 2005 to 2007, and a board director of the Chiao Tung University Alumni Association in America (CTUAAA) for the 2005-2015 terms.  Recently she was elected by the CTUAAA board as the vice chairman & president of CTUAAA for the 2015-2020 term. 

Her dedication of serving alma mater has been well recognized by SJTU.  Under her leadership SJTUFA received the prestigious SJTU President’s Award in 2009.  She also received the Outstanding Alumni Service Award from SJTU in 2011 and 2013, and the Outstanding Alumni Award from CTUAA-SC in 2012.
