Before joining SJTUFA in
March 2011 as Executive Vice President and the only
full time staff, JIN Wei had been the Director of
International Cooperation & Exchange Office (ICAE)
of Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2005. Prior
to taking on the ICAE director responsibility, he
served as the Deputy Director of ICAE (2004-2005)
and the Associate Dean of International Relations at
the prestigious SJTU Antai School of Management
(1997-2004).
Graduated from the
English Department, East China Normal University in
1976, Jin Wei had later studied in the advanced
programs at University of Pittsburgh, USA (Semester
At Sea, 1982), University of Birmingham, UK
(Teaching of English as a Foreign Language,
1984-85), and University of British Columbia, Canada
(Marketing, 1995-96).
Besides his role at ICAE,
Jin Wei was active with academic research and
teaching as an associate professor in the areas
including English, Tourism, and Complex System
Evolution. Jin Wei has authored and co-authored six
books and more than 30 papers.
